Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15
so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without
fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like
stars in the universe 16
as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the
day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.

Jeremiah 17:7-8, Amplified Version
7 [Most] blessed is the man
who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose
hope and confidence the Lord is.
8 For he shall be like a tree
planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it
shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be
green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of
drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.
