I Peter 4:18-19, New International Version

18 And,

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

19 So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

I Peter 1:6-9, New International Version

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you loved him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe I him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the goal of you faith, the salvation of your souls.

Proverbs 3:11-12, New King James Version

11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD,
Nor detest His correction;
12 For whom the LORD loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

Proverbs 3:9-10, New King James Version

9 Honor the LORD with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Proverbs 3:7-8, New King James Version

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.

Ecclesiastes 11:9, New King James Version

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth,
And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth;
Walk in the ways of your heart,
And in the sight of you eyes;
But know that for all these
God will bring you into judgment.

John 17:6-11, New King James Version

6. “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
7. “Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You.
8. “For I have given them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.
9. “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.
10. “And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them.
11. “Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

I Timothy 6:17-19, New King James Version

17. Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, not to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy,
18. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,
19. storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Romans 8:2-4, New King James Version

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do in that is was weak through flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,
4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Romans 8:1, New King James Version

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Romans 12:2, New King James Version

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I Thessalonians 5:12-22, New King James Version

12 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
16 Rejoice always,
17 Pray without ceasing,
18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19 Do not quelch the Spirit.
20 Do not despise prophecies.
21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

22 Abstain from every form of evil.

II Timothy 4:18, New American Standard

The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Romans 8:31-34, King James Version

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

James 4:4, New King James Version

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be friend with the world makes himself an enemy of God.

I Corinthians 5:8-13, Amplified Version

8 Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of vice and malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened [bread] of purity (nobility, honor) and sincerity and [unadulterated] truth.
9 I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with unchaste (impure) people –
10 Not [meaning of course that you must] altogether shun the immoral people of this world, or the greedy graspers and cheats and thieves or idolaters, since otherwise you would need to get out of the world and human society altogether!
11 But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with t foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering] or is a drunkard or swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person.
12 What [business] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside [the church] upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgement [passing censuring sentence on them as facts require]?

13 God alone sits in judgement on those who are outside. Drive out that wicked one from among you [expel him from your church].

James 4:6-8, New King James Version

6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Proverbs 3:33-34, King James Version

33 The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked; but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
34 Surely he scorneth the scorners: hut he giveth grace unto the lowly.

Proverbs 3:11-12, King James Version

11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither by weary of his correction:
12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Proverbs 3:1-7, King James Version

1 MY SON, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments;
2 For the length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
