Proverbs 3:1-7, King James Version

1 MY SON, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments;
2 For the length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

23 “And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

I Peter 3:3-4, New King James Version

3 Do not let your beauty be that outward adorning of arranging the hair, of wearing gold, or of putting on fine apparel;
4 but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Acts 4:8-12, New King James Version

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:
9 “If we this day are judged for a good deed done to the helpless man, by what means he has been made well,
10 “let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.
11 “This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.'
12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Psalm 118:22-23, New King James Version

22 The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.
23 This was the Lord's doing;

It is marvelous in our eyes.
